Is this a wedding planner service?

What is a wedding coach?

Think of Amanda as your personal wedding expert who can offer you advice based on 25 years of experience. 

What a wedding coach DOESN’T do…

  • No decorating

  • No climbing up ladders

  • Does not sign other vendor contracts

  • Does not attend meetings with other vendors

What a wedding coach DOES do…

  • Helps navigate wedding decisions with expert advice

  • Makes sure everyone is on time

  • Keeps your wedding day on schedule

With the wedding coaching service, you get 2 in-person planning sessions, where Amanda can offer you her advice and tips on anything related to weddings. She can also share other vending services she knows. Amanda offers her opinions and knowledge, then you make the final decision.

What does the DJ Package include?
5 Hours of Service, Premium Sound System and Professional DJ Setup, Dance Floor Lighting package, Wireless Mic for Toasts/Speeches, Emcee/Organization of the Event, All Genres of Music Available
Can the DJ play for the Ceremony?
For a small additional fee, the DJ can provide a separate setup specifically designed for playing music and providing a microphone for your officiant at your Ceremony.  We will begin background music 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony and play a few more songs after the end while guests are transitioning to the reception.
Do I Choose My DJ?

Because all our DJs are given scripts to make sure announcements are made in a consistent and professional tone across all events, and because we only use our in-house DJs, we handle all scheduling internally.

We have a wonderful system for collecting the information your DJ needs, so no matter which of our family of DJ’s is assigned to your event, they will be properly prepared in advance.

Do I need to Make the Playlist?
This should be a relief to you … you do not need to choose every song, but we do ask you to share your music likes and dislikes and we take it from there. It’s our job as a professional DJ Service to use our experience to read the crowd to choose what songs to play. Included in each package is also our expertly curated cocktail hour and dinner playlists which move guests through from cocktail hour mingling, to enjoying their meal, and then tapping their toes as we get closer to opening the dance floor.  Custom playlists (anything more than 10 songs) can be made for an additional fee.  Please inquire if this is something you feel you may need.
Do you take requests from Guests?
Yes! We accept guest requests but will only play them if they fit in with the vibe of the event as it’s occurring, and as long as it’s not on your “Do Not Play” list.
How do I give you all the Information about my Event?
Once your booking is completed, you will receive an email with a link to your Client Portal. You will find several forms, such as our Contract, your Invoice, and a Planning Form, which is the form you will use to provide us with all the information we need to personalize your party.
Do you allow potential clients to observe your DJs at Events?
You can rest assured knowing that we do not allow any outside people to attend our clients’ events. These are your private moments and should not be used as our sales meetings.  We can provide video samples of our DJs by request.
How Many Cameras do you Use?
We film with up to 5 cameras throughout the day INCLUDING DRONE footage.  Specifically during your ceremony, we will shoot with 4 cameras.  One in the Back, 2 on the Sides, and One in the Aisle (starts near the front for the Processional, and then moves to the Middle/Back for the remainder of the Ceremony).  It is a system we have created to best capture your FULL CEREMONY without being a distraction to your guests by constantly moving around.
What Final Videos do I receive?
The package is all inclusive.  You’ll receive (in order):  A sneak peek (within a few days), a 6-10 minute Highlight Film (creatively edited in-house by the same people who filmed your event), Full Length Ceremony (edited together from our 4 camera angles), and a Long Version Reception.
What is a "Long Version Reception"

This will begin with your full Grand Entry, Full-Length Speeches, expanded scenes of your Cake Cutting, Bouquet and Garter Toss, and Specialty Dances. We will use the rest of our time to get some shots from the open dance floor.

What makes Applause a Better Videography choice than my Photographer/Friend/Family Member?
Outside of the All-Inclusive Package, what makes us stand out is the attention to detail behind the scenes.  We are extremely considerate of the weight of the responsibility for shooting a once-in-a-lifetime event.  This means covering our bases with backup staff, backup equipment, even making sure every recording of your “key moments”, both audio and video, are recorded from more than one source.
Your Bundle Packages Sound Incredible....What's the Catch?
This is my favorite question because it means you really GET IT!  You have shopped around, and you know that quality services like ours are expensive, especially Videography.  The answer is that we enjoy what we do, we want to work in our teams because that’s when we have the best outcome. Plus, you are not paying overhead to 3 or 4 separate companies, so we pass those savings on to you!
How far in Advance should we Book?
We book Applause Packages up to 20 months in advance and recommend this for May, June, September, and October events.  For all other dates, a minimum of 12 months in advance is ideal.  We book a large number of events per year, so it is important to book us early!
What do I need to do to Book my Date?
Simply reply to any email and let me know which package you are wanting to book.  From there, you will receive another email with a link to your booking documents.  The contract can be signed online, and the invoice can be paid online as well.
What are the Payment Options?

Our online system accepts E-Check (ACH transfer) that requires you to login to your Bank. If you would like to mail a check, the invoice can be printed with our address. Please let us know that you are sending a check after you sign the contract.

Once I'm booked, who will I Work With?
We are a close-knit family of “team members” so when you book with us, you can rest assured you will work with us!  We limit the number of bookings per date to ensure even in an emergency, our in-house team will be the ones working at your event. We do not pass off your booking to anyone else!
Do We need to Meet "In-Person"?
Many vendors require you to find a time in your schedule to meet up.  Our couples have found out they deeply appreciate that we do not require this.  We are confident in our online system, thorough questionnaire, and a final planning call that will take place during the last few days before your event.   If you would like to request an in-person meeting, please contact Amanda for availability and options.


Your wedding day is already stressful, you don’t need the extra headaches that occur when dealing with multiple parties who run their own separate businesses and do NOT coordinate AT ALL with the other vendors involved.
