AJ Changed Caitlin’s Life with Just One Kiss

Picture

June thirtieth, 2017 was not just an ordinary, sunny summer day.  It was a day when an extraordinary couple, AJ and Caitlin, were joined in marriage in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at The Vineyard at Riverbend Chapel, overlooking the Missouri River in Washington, Missouri.

Caitlyn was stunning in her strapless two-piece Watters Daisy corset with added satin ivory buttons to the back and Watters Almira court length skirt, both in ivory.  She found this gorgeous ensemble of a wedding dress at Mia Grace Bridal.  Caitlin adorned her feet with Jewel Badgely Mischka Block Heels in Champagne (and brought a cool pair of Keds X Kate Spade Champion shoes in Rose Gold Glitter for dancing for later!) A sparkling band of rhinestones graced Caitlin’s waist and was just the perfect touch for her flowy dress.  The Bride’s bouquet she carried was a mix white hydrangeas, light pink peonies, blush pink rose, ivory spray roses and assorted greens beautifully put together by Hillerman’s Nursery and Florist.  For Caitlin’s “Something Old”, she used garter that was handmade by her great aunt. Her “Something New and Something Blue” was a breathtaking sapphire and diamond tennis bracelet that her father gave her as a gift and “Something Borrowed” was earrings and a bracelet from two friends.  This is one tradition that I particularly love because it is always such a personal touch that never can be duplicated from one bride to the next.

Caitlin’s Bridesmaids looked charming in their short, y-neck, crinkle chiffon dresses with a ruched bodice in a blush color that they purchased from David’s Bridal.

AJ looked so very handsome in the slim fit navy blue suit, white shirt and navy blue tie he bought from Suits 4 Men, and his Groomsmen were the perfect match for the groom in their navy blue suits, white shirts and ivory ties.  Prior to the wedding, Caitlin’s dad shared a toast with the groom and groomsmen with a rare bottle of Scotch whiskey.

Our Bride chose to have two First Looks, the first with her father, who during the toasts said that when Caitlin was born, it was love at first sight.  It was a beautiful moment between the two of them as her dad saw his little girl in her gorgeous wedding gown for the first time.  The second First Look was special, as well.  AJ took one look at his soon-to-be-wife and the look on his face is priceless…I believe her beauty took his breath away!

The wedding ceremony was performed by a friend of our Bride and Groom, Brian Webb.  There didn’t seem to be a dry eye during the sweet vows that were exchanged by Caitlin and AJ.  Caitlin described their first kiss together as being a kiss that changed her whole life.  AJ promised Caitlin that he would always choose her.  An exchange of rings that were purchased from Moritz Reusch Jewelry Inc. included a vintage look, white gold wedding band to compliment Caitlin’s sparkling white gold and diamond halo engagement ring.  AJ’s ring was a traditional tungsten wedding band.

AJ kissed his new wife and it was time for the celebration to start!  The venue was elegantly decorated with gold glitter tablecloth on the cake table, gold baleri mercury glass vase centerpieces with white hydrangeas, blush pink roses, ivory spray roses and assorted greens and gold Chiavari chairs at the main tables, a cute swag on the fireplace at The Vineyard at Riverbend Chapel with Our Couple’s initials and wedding date, and a sign on the fireplace mantle that said, “How Sweet it is to be Loved By You”.

Did someone say CAKE???  This pretty three tier, vanilla and chocolate cake, iced with white and adorned with pink carnations was made by the Emerald Baldwin, who was a bridesmaid and is AJ’s sister-in-law.

Food for the reception was provided by the caterers at The Vineyard at Riverbend Chapel.

AJ and Caitlin chose Chelsea Mueller Photography for all of their pics, and of course, used Applause Weddings for their videography!

When we asked Caitlin for some words to share with future Brides-to-be, she shared this with us, “The day of your wedding will fly by so quickly and everything will be one giant amazing blur in your mind. I strongly advise all couples to consider hiring a videographer along with their photographer! I’m so happy we did and we now have such an amazing video to look back on!”

Congrats, AJ and Caitlin Baldwin!  May your lives be always filled with love and happiness!
