Mitchell and Amanda Have a Jewel of a Wedding
There is nothing like The Jewel Box in Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri. This art deco style building that was built in 1936 and has changed some over recent years to serve as a wedding venue. It is a beautiful place to be married, which is exactly what Mitchell and Amanda did on September 3rd, 2017.
With plenty of natural light streaming through all of the glass walls, this made for a picture-perfect setting for these two love-birds to be joined as husband and wife. Mitch waited amongst the lush greenery inside The Jewel Box for his dazzling bride to walk down the aisle. He wore a sharp gray Allure suit with an ivory vest, navy tie and light brown shoes he found at Savvi Formalwear. His face lit up when he set eyes on his bride for the first time as Amanda was walked down the aisle by her dad.
Mexico Road Florist created spectacular arrangements for Amanda and her Attendants. The Bride’s Bouquet consisted of a hand tied modified cascade of cream hydrangeas, peach roses, orange spray roses, white roses, burgundy cremones, and seeded eucalyptus. Amanda’s beautiful Bridesmaids wore long marine blue dresses they found at David’s Bridal. The girls picked varying styles of dresses: some were strapless, had cap sleeves or one shoulder sleeve detail. Their bouquets were also hand tied style with cream hydrangeas, peach spray roses, orange spray roses, orange dahlias and gunny eucalyptus. All of the bright colors played beautifully against their dark blue dresses!
Officiant Jim Peich performed a touching wedding ceremony, joining Our Couple in marriage. Applause Weddings provided audio for the ceremony. While wedding vows were exchanged with friends and family surrounding Mitch and Amanda, the love that our Bride and Groom have for each other radiated from each of them! During their wedding ring ceremony, they exchanged rings that they found at Arcobosso Jewelers. Amanda’s exquisite engagement ring has a round diamond solitaire centered on a diamond band with two sparkling wedding bands on each side. Mitch’s ring is a very masculine black tungsten and titanium creation with silver tapered edges.
Once Mitch kissed his stunning bride, it was time to move on to the Heart of St. Charles Ballrooms to celebrate!
The Ballroom was decked out with white tablecloths and white chair covers with navy sashes. Three different types of centerpieces adorned the tables: one was floral rings with cream hydrangeas, burgundy cremons, peach spray roses and orange roses. Another was Eiffel Tower vases with white hydrangeas, burgundy cremons, peach roses, orange roses and gunny eucalyptus. The third centerpiece was hurricane vases with candles surrounded by orange rose petals. It looked magnificent!
After toasts were made to Our Newlyweds, it was time for our Applause Wedding’s DJ to crank it up! The couple and their loved ones had a great time celebrating the union of these two special people!
Mitch and Amanda chose Stephanie Bannon Photography for their still photos, and of course, Applause Weddings for their videography! Credit to Stephanie Bannon Photography for the photos displayed in this blog post. They are great photos, don’t you think?
